Bajaj Broking Expands Trading Platform With New Commodity Segment and Advanced Tools
Bajaj Broking has introduced commodity trading across precious metals, energy, base metals and agricultural commodities, adding options Greeks, GTT orders, basket orders and real-time price alerts to its digital platform.
The commodity trading segment covers gold, silver, crude oil, natural gas, copper, aluminium, lead and zinc. It also includes select agricultural commodities such as Kapas, cardamom and mentha oil. The availability of different contract sizes across select commodities allows users to choose instruments according to their trading requirements.
The platform also features a commodity options chain with Greeks, providing measures of an option's sensitivity to changes in the underlying asset price, volatility and time to expiry. Additionally, basket orders enable users to group multiple orders into a single basket and submit them through the platform, simplifying the process of executing multiple orders.
For order placement, customers can choose between intraday and normal product types, subject to applicable contract and margin requirements. The platform also supports Good Till Triggered (GTT) orders, which initiate an order when predefined trigger conditions are met. However, execution remains subject to applicable order conditions and market availability.
Commodity price alerts are another feature of the new offering, allowing users to receive notifications when selected price levels are reached. The platform combines these tools with real-time market data and charts, enabling customers to monitor commodity prices and place orders from a single screen.
Bajaj Broking has also incorporated upfront visibility of brokerage and statutory charges, allowing users to view applicable trading costs before proceeding with transactions.
Commenting on the launch, a Bajaj Broking spokesperson said, “With the launch of our Commodities segment, we are broadening the range of markets accessible through Bajaj Broking while bringing together features for options analysis, order execution and price monitoring. Our focus remains on building a technology-led trading platform that combines market access with useful functionality and greater visibility into trading costs.”
With the addition of commodity trading, Bajaj Broking has expanded the range of financial market instruments available through its digital platform, bringing multiple commodity categories together with analytical tools, order management features and cost transparency.
